Is pool safety important?
Pool safety is essential, particularly if children or pets are present. Consider the following measures:
-
Physical barriers: Install a safety fence with a self-closing gate.
-
Covers and alarms: Use approved pool covers and/or alarm systems to help prevent unauthorised access.
-
Preparedness: Keep rescue equipment, such as life rings, nearby and ensure that pool users are familiar with basic safety practices. Learning CPR is also highly recommended.
Please note that while these measures can reduce risk, no pool can ever be considered completely safe. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure proper supervision and to comply with any local safety regulations. Failure to follow safety guidelines may increase the risk of accidents and could also affect insurance or warranty coverage.
